Hey Spyko, you posted an article on break in process last year (before the forum crashed) i was wondering if you still had the link to that, with all the people getting new bikes this year it maybe interesting to get another point of view on break in. I know thats how i am breaking in my CBR600RR that i just put a deposit on friday.

yup here's the article: Break in secret (http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm)

that's how I did the breaking in of my brand new gsxr750 2002 last summer, and the result was really good.

Felix.... you gonna be there??? oui c'est vrai/.. i will be getting my bike only by may 1st... moto international says that they only receive them "sometime" in april and they need a week to prep and put me in the cue for delivery. Not that i would ever be able to do the break-in supplied by the manual.... the engine is off to me below 8000rpm.. however i will try to find a spot to do that break-in... if i understand correctly... full gas through a coupla gears and then off the gas and slow down on compression for 20 miles.... no prob

hey I can do your breakin if you want :P

you can always go to sanair dragway (there's a kinda roadracing track also) for 40$ /day. no ambulance and flaggers though.

or you can go to groovy's stunting strip and stunt for a couple of hours. Nothing like a 2 mile long wheelie to break in the engine.
